In John 16:7, Jesus reveals an incredible promise to His disciples: the coming of the Advocate, also known as the Holy Spirit. Though His departure might have initially been a cause for distress among the disciples, Jesus assures them that His leaving is to their advantage, as it will usher in the coming of the Holy Spirit.
The presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives is indeed a profound blessing. As our Comforter, Guide, and Teacher, the Holy Spirit empowers us, guides us into all truth, and reminds us of all that Jesus has taught us. Despite the physical absence of Jesus, we are not left alone or helpless. Through the Holy Spirit, God Himself dwells in us, offering guidance, comfort, and strength in all circumstances.
