Hi. I am Thomas.
I am a counselor, a husband, a father, and the person behind every devotional you read on DailyBible. I write because I believe God speaks to ordinary people on ordinary mornings, and sometimes the right words at the right time can change everything.
Why DailyBible Exists
I grew up Christian the way most people do: by inheritance. Church on Sundays, Bible on the nightstand, prayers before bed. I knew all the right words. I just did not feel them yet.
Years later, I lost my first wife to illness. Three years of sitting beside her, holding her hand, learning what it means to pray when you have nothing left to offer and cannot sit with empty hands. My faith broke apart during those years. When it came back together, it was a different shape. Less certain of answers. Far more certain of Presence.
I started DailyBible for the person searching at two in the morning for words they cannot say out loud. For the mother who needs strength before sunrise. For the man in a hospital room who needs one reason to face tomorrow. For anyone who has ever felt that God went silent and wondered if He was still there.
He is. I know because I checked.
What We Believe
Scripture Speaks for Itself
Every devotional begins with God’s word and stays close to it. I do not add to Scripture or twist it to make a point. I let it say what it says and help you sit with it long enough to hear what it means for your life today.
Faith Is a Daily Choice
I do not write about faith as something you either have or you do not. I write about it as something you choose, every morning, especially on the mornings when choosing is hard. That is what makes it real.
Free Means Free
Every devotional, every article, every prayer on this site is free. No paywall, no premium content, no catch. God’s word should never have a price tag.
The People Behind This
DailyBible is not a corporation. It is not backed by a denomination or a large organization. It is a small team: me and two faithful volunteers who believe in this mission enough to give their time to it.
We keep the lights on through a combination of modest advertising and the generosity of readers who choose to support us. Every dollar goes back into the site: hosting, email delivery, and the tools that help us reach more people with Scripture every morning.
We do not do this for money. We do it because we have seen what happens when the right verse reaches the right person on the right day. That is worth more than anything we could charge for it.
