Today’s Devotional

In this verse, Paul emphasizes the transformative power of our baptism into Christ. When we are baptized, we publicly identify with Jesus and His work of redemption. Through this act, we symbolically put on Christ like a garment, becoming new creations in Him. This imagery of being clothed with Christ highlights the spiritual transformation that takes place in our lives when we embrace the gospel, as we take on Christ’s righteousness and are united with Him.

Time to reflect

As you reflect on the meaning of being clothed with Christ, consider the following questions:

  • How has your baptism and faith in Christ transformed your life, your values, and your priorities?
  • In what ways can you live out your identity in Christ in your daily life, actions, and relationships?
  • How can you encourage and support others in their journey of faith and growth as they, too, become clothed with Christ?

Prayer Of The Day

Lord Jesus, we thank You for the gift of salvation and the transforming power of Your grace. We are grateful that through baptism, we are united with You and clothed with Your righteousness.

Heavenly Father, help us to live out our identity in Christ, allowing Your Spirit to guide our actions, words , and relationships. Teach us to walk in the newness of life that comes from being clothed with Christ, reflecting Your love and character to those around us.

Holy Spirit, empower us to encourage and support others on their faith journey, as they also embrace the transformation that comes from being clothed with Christ. Help us to be examples of Your grace and love in our communities.

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
