Today’s Devotional
In Romans 6:1, Paul addresses a possible misunderstanding of the concept of grace. Some might have thought that since God’s grace abounds in response to our sin, we should continue sinning to receive more grace. Paul emphatically rejects this notion, and throughout Romans 6, he explains that our new life in Christ calls us to holiness and freedom from sin.
As believers, we should not take God’s grace for granted or use it as an excuse to continue in our sinful ways. Instead, we should be grateful for God’s mercy and allow it to transform us into people who strive to live holy and righteous lives. The power of Christ’s sacrifice not only forgives our sins but also empowers us to live in obedience to God.
