In John 1:10, we see that Jesus, the Word and the Light, was present in the world He created, yet the world did not recognize Him. This verse speaks to the tragedy of humanity’s blindness to the presence and work of Jesus, the Son of God. Despite being the source of all life, light, and creation, Jesus was not acknowledged by the very world He came to save.
As followers of Christ, we are called to recognize and bear witness to the light of Jesus in our lives and the world around us. We must not allow ourselves to fall into the same spiritual blindness that plagued the world during Jesus’ time on earth. Instead, let us be attentive to the work of God in our lives and seek to share the good news of Jesus Christ with those around us.

Teach us to be attentive to Your presence, to recognize Your voice, and to follow Your guidance. May our lives be a testament to Your love and grace, and may we be faithful witnesses of Your saving power. In Your holy name, we pray. Amen.
