Today’s Devotional

Acts 1:4 recounts the instructions that Jesus gave to His disciples shortly before His ascension into heaven. He urged them not to leave Jerusalem, but instead, to wait for the gift His Father had promised – the Holy Spirit. Jesus knew that the power of the Holy Spirit was essential for the disciples to carry out their mission, spreading the Good News and building the early church. This promise of the Holy Spirit was not only for the disciples but is also for all believers who trust in Jesus.

As followers of Christ, we too can take comfort in knowing that the Holy Spirit is with us, guiding, empowering, and comforting us in our daily walk. The Holy Spirit enables us to understand God’s Word, empowers us to share the gospel with others, and helps us to grow in our faith. The indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit is a precious gift, a reminder of God’s faithfulness and love.

  • Relying on the power of the Holy Spirit to enable us to share the Good News with others.
  • Recognizing the Holy Spirit’s work in our lives, transforming and sanctifying us.
  • Embracing the unity and fellowship that the Holy Spirit brings among believers.

Prayer Of The Day

Heavenly Father, thank You for the precious gift of the Holy Spirit, whom You have promised to all believers. We are grateful for the comfort, guidance, and power that the Holy Spirit provides in our daily lives. Help us to continually rely on the Holy Spirit to lead us in our walk with You, to grow in our understanding of Your Word, and to strengthen our faith.

Fill us with the boldness and wisdom to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with others, and let the Holy Spirit work in our hearts to transform and sanctify us. Unite us as believers through the Holy Spirit, that we may encourage and uplift one another as we journey together in faith. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

  2. Share your testimony of the Holy Spirit’s work in your life with others, encouraging them in their faith.
  3. Engage in regular fellowship with other believers, recognizing the unity that the Holy Spirit brings.
