Today’s Devotional
In 2 Peter 3:4, the apostle Peter warns us about those who scoff at the promise of Jesus’ return. These skeptics point out that life has continued as it always has and question the validity of Jesus’ promise to return. However, Peter reminds us that God’s timing is not like our own, and His apparent delay is actually an expression of His patience, giving more people the opportunity to come to repentance and faith in Jesus.
As believers, it can be challenging to wait for Jesus’ return, especially as we face trials and difficulties in this world. However, we must trust in God’s perfect timing and recognize that His plans and purposes are much greater than our own. Strengthen our faith and help us to remain faithful and diligent in our walk with You, even as we wait for the fulfillment of Your promises. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
