Today’s Devotional
In Matthew 16:13, Jesus asks His disciples a crucial question: “Who do people say the Son of Man is?” This question was not only important for the disciples to answer but also serves as a critical question for every person to consider. Our understanding of who Jesus is has a profound impact on our faith and relationship with God.
The disciples responded with various answers, reflecting the diverse opinions of the people during that time. Some thought Jesus was John the Baptist, others thought He was Elijah or one of the prophets. However, it was Peter who boldly declared Jesus as the Messiah, the Son of the living God. This revelation would become the foundation of the Christian faith and the Church.
