In John 14:2, Jesus comforts His disciples with the assurance of a heavenly home prepared for them. This verse comes from the context of Jesus’ farewell discourse, where He is preparing His disciples for His departure through crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension. He is reassuring them that even though He is leaving, His departure serves a purpose – to prepare a place for them in His Father’s house.
