Today’s Devotional

In John 15:1, Jesus uses the analogy of a vine and its branches to describe the relationship between Himself and His followers. He is the true vine, and we are the branches connected to Him. The Father is the gardener, tending to and nurturing the vine and its branches. This imagery highlights our dependence on Jesus for spiritual growth, sustenance, and life. As branches, we cannot thrive or bear fruit apart from our connection to the vine.

Recognizing our need to remain connected to Jesus is essential for our spiritual growth and fruitfulness. By abiding in Him, we are strengthened, nourished, and equipped to carry out God’s purposes in our lives. As we grow in our relationship with Jesus, we can expect to bear fruit that glorifies God and impacts the world around us.
